Lamar Jackson Out Again: Tyler Huntley Starts for Ravens at Browns as AFC North Odds Hold Steady
Lamar Jackson's ankle keeps him out for a second straight week, but the Ravens remain a field-goal road favorite in Cleveland and -185 to win the AFC North. Here is how the line, futures and Tyler Huntley props are shaping up.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will miss a second consecutive game with a sprained left ankle, and Tyler “Snoop” Huntley will make his second straight start Sunday when the 4-1 Ravens visit the Cleveland Browns at Huntington Bank Field. Head coach Jesse Minter announced the decision Friday after Jackson missed all three practices this week. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET.
The news lands on a Ravens team that holds a one-game lead atop the AFC North and carries the shortest division odds in the conference’s northern corner. Baltimore is still a road favorite in a divisional game, but the market is pricing in a tighter, lower-scoring afternoon than it would with the two-time MVP under center.
Jackson’s Ankle and the Huntley Plan
Jackson hurt his left ankle on the final play of the first half in Baltimore’s 24-18 win over the Tennessee Titans on Oct. 4. He has not practiced since, and he sat out the Ravens’ 30-23 overtime win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5. Early this week, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Jackson had a realistic chance to return against Cleveland, and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said the quarterback was working hard to get back on the field. The practice reps never came.
Minter shot down any suggestion that the injury is more serious than first believed. “I think it’s just a decision for his best interest,” he said. “And that’s really what every decision’s always going to be about.” The next target appears to be a Week 7 home game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Huntley has been solid in relief. He has won each of his past three starts as a fill-in for Jackson, including the Atlanta game, when he completed 24 of 32 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns, added 20 rushing yards on six carries, and scored the game-winning touchdown on a 1-yard sneak in overtime. “We won’t bat an eye with Snoop being in there,” Minter said, and running back Derrick Henry said the team’s job is to “hold it down until he gets back.”
There is also a revenge-game wrinkle. Huntley spent part of the 2024 and 2025 seasons with the Browns, so he knows this opponent well. Baltimore will also be without center Cam Jurgens, who was ruled out alongside Jackson.
Ravens-Browns Line, Division Odds and Futures
The spread has held in a narrow band. Baltimore opened as a 3.5-point favorite with moneylines of Ravens -175 and Browns +150 and a total of 40.5. By Sunday morning, several outlets listed the Ravens at -3 with a total of 39.5, with moneylines ranging from roughly Ravens -162 to -180 and Browns +136 to +150, depending on the book. The market never priced Baltimore as a heavy favorite, and the confirmation of Jackson’s absence has not blown the number open.
The lower total reflects a run-heavy, short-passing game plan. Huntley averaged only 4.7 air yards per attempt against Atlanta, the lowest of any quarterback to face the Falcons this season, and threw fewer than 17 percent of his passes 10 or more yards downfield. With Huntley starting over the past two seasons, Baltimore is 3-0 and has averaged 33.7 points per game, though that sample is small.
The futures board shows how little the market has moved on the Ravens. Baltimore sits at -185 to win the AFC North, ahead of Cincinnati at +260, Pittsburgh at +1000 and Cleveland at +1400. The Ravens are +800 to win Super Bowl LXI at some books, with the AFC championship priced near +400 and a playoff price of -700. The numbers suggest the market views Jackson’s absence as a short-term problem, not a season-altering one. A loss in Cleveland would drop Baltimore to 4-2 and let the Browns move to 4-2 and 2-0 in the division, which would be the first real test of that confidence.
Huntley Props to Watch
The quarterback prop market is set low. Huntley’s passing yards line sat at 161.5 at FanDuel on Friday and has been listed as high as 164.5 elsewhere, with both sides priced around -113 to -114. His rushing yards line is roughly 23.5 to 24.5. The over on 1.5 passing touchdowns is priced near +188 to +210, reflecting that Huntley has cleared that mark in only one of his last 10 games, according to one tracking service. He has cleared 164.5 passing yards in four of those 10.
The Browns rank 16th in opponent-adjusted passing yards allowed to quarterbacks, a neutral matchup, so the number is more about Baltimore’s approach than Cleveland’s defense. If the Ravens lean on Henry and the ground game as the total suggests, the under on Huntley’s passing line becomes a natural read. One simulation model projects a median of 188 passing yards and 19 rushing yards, which leans over on the passing number and under on the rushing line, but that is a projection and not a market consensus.
The bigger betting question comes next week. If Jackson is cleared for the Bengals game, expect Baltimore’s spreads and Super Bowl price to firm up. If his ankle keeps lingering, every Huntley win adds to the division cushion the market is already paying for.
