How to Read the MLB Odds Above
Each row in the table represents one matchup, with the three most common MLB bet types displayed side by side: the run line (baseball’s version of the point spread, usually set at 1.5 runs), the moneyline (a straight bet on which team wins the game outright), and the total (also called the over/under, the combined number of runs both teams are projected to score). Odds are pulled live from multiple sportsbooks so you can quickly spot which book is offering the best number before you place a bet.
Because MLB plays a 162-game regular season with games almost every day from late March through September, lines can move fast based on starting pitcher announcements, weather, and lineup changes — check back close to first pitch for the most accurate numbers.
MLB Betting FAQ
- When is the 2026 MLB All-Star break? The 96th MLB All-Star Game is set for Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia — the first time the Phillies have hosted since 1996. The regular season resumes shortly after and runs through September 27.
- What’s the difference between the run line and the moneyline? The moneyline is a bet on which team wins straight up, with no point spread involved — favorites cost more to bet, underdogs pay more if they win. The run line adds a spread (typically -1.5/+1.5) to even out the payout odds between the favorite and underdog.
- Why do MLB totals move so much game to game? Run totals are heavily influenced by starting pitching matchups, ballpark factors (some stadiums are notorious hitter’s or pitcher’s parks), and weather — wind blowing out at Wrigley Field or Coors Field’s altitude are classic examples that push totals higher.
- How often are these odds updated? The odds table refreshes automatically throughout the day, reflecting live lines from the sportsbooks compared on this page. Odds can and do change right up until first pitch.
- What other MLB bet types are available beyond what’s shown here? Most sportsbooks also offer player props (hits, strikeouts, home runs), first five innings lines, series prices, and MLB futures like division winners and World Series odds.
