BetMGM Sportsbook is serious about rewarding new customers, so much so that they always seem to have a nice bonus offer available for folks who are signing up for the very first time. The company may not change its offer as often as its competitors, but they still offer a pretty lucrative bonus in the grand scheme of things.
Bet-Get deals have gone over incredibly well for BetMGM, where new customers get a certain amount of bonus bets back after placing their first wager. Unfortunately, these are usually only available in select markets during special events on the sports calendar (Super Bowl, March Madness, start of College Football, etc). I enjoyed a beautiful Bet Get bonus from BetMGM back in 2022 when I signed up, but I haven’t seen an offer like that in my market for quite a while.
For the majority of the year, BetMGM’s bonus usually includes giving new players bonus bets if their first wager doesn’t win. This is usually termed as a First Bet Offer by the company. The premise of the First Bet bonus is a nice gesture, but it’s not as lucrative for the average sports bettor as some of the Bet-Get deals that are currently flying around the industry from some of BetMGM’s competitors.

The Odds – Slow to Post But Offer Good Value
There’s a lot to like about the odds at BetMGM Sportsbook. They constantly list prices for every major sport and most of the minor ones as well. Sports bettors will love that they can get action down on point spreads, moneylines, totals, and player props.
I’ve had lots of good luck with finding advantageous odds on games during both football and basketball seasons. It’s not uncommon for BetMGM to offer its players an extra half point every once in a while. I’ve even found some elusive +3s during football season when almost every other sportsbook in the market is only offering +2.5. Those are the kinds of savings that really add up over the course of a season.
For player props, the odds at BetMGM are even sweeter. They’re known to list some player props at -110 or -115, even when their competitors have them juiced to -125 or even -135. Again, this amount of savings can add loads of profit to a sports investor’s bottom line.
The only downside I’ve seen with BetMGM Sportsbook is that they take a little bit to post their lines. For example, they usually won’t post player props in the NFL until most of the market has come out with their numbers. Players who like playing MLB or college basketball openers the day before games won’t be able to do that very often at BetMGM. Even still, I rated BetMGM very high in the odds category because of the sheer value that you can capture.
Cashier Options and Payout Speed
Any sports bettor who has had to wait a while for a withdrawal knows how painful it can be. Thankfully, you won’t have to worry about that with BetMGM Sportsbook. I’ve always received my funds on the same day, as long as I requested the payout via Venmo or PayPal. Using your bank account can take an extra day or so, but that all depends on your bank’s procedures.
The overall number of deposit and withdrawal options at BetMGM is pretty darn impressive. They take all major credit and debit cards, wire transfers, Apple Pay, MGM Rewards, VIP Preferred, Play+, PayNearMe, and the aforementioned Venmo and PayPal.
You can even request a paper check if you so desire. However, that entire process can take anywhere from 7 to 21 business days, so most folks prefer to use any other method.
Website Performance and Mobile App Layout
Tech-loving sports bettors will love that BetMGM offers a state-of-the-art mobile app and a pretty slick website. I’ve never had an issue with the mobile app on my Android phone. I’ve used it for live betting on several occasions and never had to deal with any annoying lags or time-outs.
The website has a clean layout and is easy to navigate. All sports are clearly listed so that you can toggle back and forth between odds without any issues.
My only gripe with the website is that my bet slip has been hard to find after I’ve made a selection. Thankfully, BetMGM has fixed this issue since then. All in all, the site and the mobile app are definite strengths of BetMGM Sportsbook.
Areas of Improvement for BetMGM Sportsbook
There’s plenty to like about BetMGM Sportsbook, and I’ve been very pleased with my overall experience with them since I signed up in 2022. However, there’s no such thing as a perfect sportsbook. Here are a few areas I’d like to see BetMGM tweak sometime in the future:
- Make the bet slip smaller on the website, as it currently takes up the whole screen
- Offer the Bet-Get bonus more frequently and in more markets
