Scratches knocked me out yesterday. We’ll see how today goes with my 9 buck wager

Going to fade the heavy ML favorite 7-Sopros (9/5) as he looks as if he is dropping in claiming price yet has run for little money against lesser competition. My choice is 6-Leblon (6/1) who gets back to dirt where he has won more money and is the class of this field.

Taking a deep number in this race, I am selecting second time starters 11-Further Evidence (15/1), 1-Leola (10/1), 2-Rate Confirmation (8/1), and 10-Onceuponadream (8/1). 7-Idratherbeblessed (6/1) will be flying late, and I am looking for 3-No Easy Days (3/1) to be the early speed and perhaps go gate to wire.

As mentioned yesterday in a $30K MCL race and scratched for today, I love this horse! Wesley Ward-trained 1-O’conner Sunset (10/1) hits a favorite angle of first time starters in MCL races where their dam (Miss Sunset) won in her first try. Making this more compelling is that Miss Sunset scored an 81 Equibase number in that race and his sire Curlin, scored a 105. With today’s par of 66, anything close to that effort should get the win. 3-Hyper Speed (12/1) and 8-Trepat (8/1) are two others I’m adding.
