Bettors are going to send a lot of money to ML favorite 6-Sumply Super (9/5) under the hopes that he will run back to his debut win and Equibase number of 87. Also, his :59.6 work can be the icing to his attractiveness. However, I am fading this horse due to his lackluster performances in stakes race in his last two, losing by a combined 31 lengths. I am also fading the Brittany/Sheldon tandem with 4-Heldish (7/2) as horses with one race going from mcl to stakes races are 1/36 according to our databases. I am going with first time starter 6-Bandits Heart (12/1) who just clocked a 1:00.8 from the gate. The dam, Onearmedbandit, has four foals all trained by John Robb, today’s trainer and two of the four won their debut.

I am not bowled over with the :37 work after her race on July 30 for the $145K Fasig-Tipton Yearling 9-Naval Empire (3/1), so I will fade her. 1-Back Seat Betty (4/1) changed from an untrustworthy barn and comes from an mcl race to a stakes, so am not taking her, regardless of her seemingly upside potential. The same goes for mcl to stakes runner 3-Genieinabridle (8/1). Given her best last Equibase of 71, 4-Cocktail Dreaming (7/2) has three races in her history, this race is rated at an 83 and she has had three cracks to top that, and it is not going to happen today. I am taking 2-Livana (5/1) who exits the race with a second place finish to Naval Empire and put distance between her and third place finisher La Tache. Livana just worked a :47.4 from the gate showing she is in good form to make noise today.
