Sydney ATP - Men
Quarterfinals

Pick: Diego Schwartzmann, 19, (Argentina) over Yoshihito Nishioka 75, (Japan)
These two relatively short men have never played before, but this will be a dogfight. It might not be close, as Schwartzman is the clear favorite, but points will be long and it might seem like a Women’s match. Both are fast as the Road Runner, and they both fight like back alley dogs. But the rallies will be exciting, and the fans will get their money worth as the more experienced Argentine advances to the Semis.

Pick: Alex de Minaur, 13, (Australia) over Jordan Thompson, 72, (Australia)
De Minaur is on a streak and playing fine, effective tennis. He appears ready to make a run at Melbourne next week, but not before he takes this match from his 6-foot, 24-year old compatriot. Since Thompson first broke into the Top 100 in April, 2016 he has done nothing much to distinguish a further rise in his ranking from about where he is now. He won’t start against de Minaur.
