FanDuel Expands Kindbridge Behavioral Health Partnership to Broaden Player Mental Health Support
FanDuel is deepening its partnership with Kindbridge Behavioral Health, giving bettors expanded access to education, self-assessment tools, and professional counseling for problem gambling support.

FanDuel is deepening its collaboration with Kindbridge Behavioral Health, expanding a partnership that has connected bettors with mental health resources since March 2024. The updated relationship broadens access to education materials, self-assessment tools, and professional counseling for FanDuel customers seeking support around problem gambling and related behavioral health concerns.
Cory Fox, senior vice president of public policy and sustainability at FanDuel, said the expansion reflects the operator’s ongoing effort to meet customers where they are with resources that actually work for them. Kindbridge, an online mental health provider, specializes in digital dependency, problem gambling, and related mental health issues, giving the partnership a clinical backbone that goes beyond basic self-exclusion tools.
How the Partnership Has Grown Since 2024
The relationship began during Problem Gambling Awareness Month in March 2024, when FanDuel and Kindbridge launched a pilot program in New Jersey and Ohio focused on self-excluded players. That initial phase gave customers who had self-excluded from the FanDuel platform access to complimentary mental health assessments and peer support groups, along with fast-tracked telehealth appointments with outpatient treatment providers.
The program has since scaled well beyond that two-state pilot. In March 2026, more than 6,000 FanDuel customers voluntarily completed a Kindbridge survey designed to help them better understand their relationship with gambling and how it connects to broader mental health. FanDuel also continues to offer a free mental health assessment to any customer at the point of self-exclusion, with Kindbridge providing educational courses, peer support groups, coaching, and licensed therapist counseling to those who need it.
A Model for the Broader Industry
What sets this expansion apart is its reach beyond FanDuel’s own betting platform. The partnership now touches the company’s community outreach and employee wellness programs as well, with both organizations describing the collaboration as a potential template other operators in the sports betting and online gaming space could adopt. FanDuel has backed its responsible gambling push with real money too, having previously donated $150,000 each to the National Council on Problem Gambling’s Agility Grants program and the International Center for Responsible Gaming to fund prevention research and expand treatment access in underserved areas.
As legal sports betting continues to expand across the country, operators face increasing pressure from regulators and advocacy groups to show they’re investing in player protection, not just customer acquisition. Deepening a clinical partnership like this one, rather than treating responsible gambling as a checkbox, signals where FanDuel wants to be positioned in that conversation. For bettors weighing which FanDuel Sportsbook tools are available to them, resources like Kindbridge’s assessments and counseling sit alongside standard deposit, wager, and time limits as part of the platform’s broader responsible play framework.
Kindbridge’s specialization in digital dependency also matters in an era where mobile betting apps make wagering available around the clock. Pairing an operator’s scale with a provider built specifically to address problem gambling and related mental health issues gives customers a more direct path to help than a generic hotline number buried in the terms of service.
