LeoVegas Group has officially launched its proprietary Tiger sportsbook technology in the UK, migrating its BetMGM, LeoVegas and BetUK brands onto the in-house platform. The rollout marks the fourth market to go live on Tiger and represents a major step in the MGM Resorts-owned operator’s push to control its own sports betting technology stack rather than rely on third-party providers.

The UK launch follows earlier Tiger rollouts in Denmark, Brazil and Sweden, capping a two-year build-out that began with LeoVegas Group’s acquisition of Tipico US in 2024. That deal gave the operator not only the underlying technology but also Tipico’s management and trading teams, which helped speed up the transition to an internally controlled platform.

A Two-Year Journey to a Proprietary Platform

Tiger first went live in Denmark in July 2025 through the LeoVegas and Expekt brands, before expanding to Brazil in January and Sweden in June. The UK deployment now brings BetMGM, LeoVegas and BetUK customers onto the same in-house system, with the operator framing it as a critical milestone given how competitive the UK betting market is heading into the new football season.

“This marks one of the most significant moments in our two-year journey to build a world-class, proprietary sportsbook,” said Adrian Vella, chief product and technology officer at LeoVegas Group. “Every market launch has helped us refine the platform, improve the customer experience and strengthen our competitive edge. Launching in the UK demonstrates our commitment to investing in our own technology – giving us the speed to innovate, greater flexibility and a strong foundation for long-term strategic growth.”

James Derbyshire, sports director UK&I at LeoVegas Group, added that the launch delivers “fantastic new sports betting features tailored specifically for the UK market,” crediting the global team for keeping Tiger’s international rollout on track.

What’s New for UK Bettors

Tiger brings several player-facing upgrades to the three UK brands, including enhanced odds boosts, a partial cash-out function, and a “Flex Combi” product built to give bettors more flexibility on combination wagers. LeoVegas has described the broader platform as offering a modern design, a faster interface and meaningful upgrades to live betting, alongside a reworked bonus experience.

The move also comes alongside separate news that LeoVegas Group was granted a gambling software license by the UK Gambling Commission via Slammer Studios Limited, further formalizing the operator’s shift toward proprietary technology in one of the world’s most heavily regulated betting markets. As bettors weigh where to place their money this football season, sportsbooks that keep expanding BetMGM promo code offers and new betting features tend to stand out in a crowded field.

What Comes Next

LeoVegas Group’s existing partnership with odds supplier Kambi is set to continue in a reduced capacity, with Kambi’s OddsFeed+ solution remaining available through the end of 2027. Kambi has indicated that the current arrangement will run only while LeoVegas Group continues its migration to Tiger, suggesting the relationship will wind down further as more markets and brands move fully in-house.

For now, the UK stands as the largest and most competitive market yet to run on Tiger, and LeoVegas Group has signaled that further refinements and market rollouts are likely as the platform matures. With BetMGM, LeoVegas and BetUK all now sharing the same proprietary backbone, the group appears positioned to lean further into speed, flexibility and customization as it looks to grow its footprint across additional international markets.
