We are approaching the twelfth week of EPL action, and we have a great weekend of matches coming off of last weekend’s international break.
Today, we’ll reveal the opening odds and three best bets below for the EPL’s Week 12 schedule. Let's get into it!
After back-to-back league draws, Chelsea will certainly be looking for three points this weekend against a struggling Leicester squad. Chelsea is unbeaten in their last 5 matchups with Leicester, with four wins and one draw.
Leicester has been horrible on defense and Chelsea is one of the top offenses in the league. Expect Chelsea to walk out of King Power Stadium with a W.
Forest has been quite the story this season. They currently sit 5th in the League, just one spot back of Arsenal. Arsenal is the more talented team, but they haven't been in great form as of late.
They have lost 2 of their last 5, including losses to Newcastle and Bournemouth on the road. However, they have the talent and home-field on their side this weekend.
Villa is still in the top 10 of the league table, but they are coming off of back-to-back losses at the hands of Tottenham and Liverpool on the road.
Now, back on their home turf, they take on a struggling Crystal Palace team. Palace has won just one game thus far and are averaging less than 1 goal per game. Look for Villa to get back on track.
This game is going to be a very tricky one to predict. Bournemouth has been solid this season but have had a few bad losses mixed into some phenomenal wins.
They have taken out Man City and Arsenal on their home turf but have losses to Leicester and Brentford on the road. Brighton has also been very solid this season and are coming off a win against Man City.
Neither of these teams has kept a clean sheet in their last 3, so expect a fun game with some goals rolling in.
Brentford has been good so far this season, and it is mainly due to their offense. They have netted 14 goals in their last 5 league games, and while their defense also hasn’t been great, they have been able to keep the pace.
Everton hasn’t shown much promise this season winning only 2 of their games. They have the home field on their side this weekend, but they may struggle to match Brentford’s pace.
Wolves have been flat-out horrible this season. However, they are coming off of their first win against an equally bad Southampton squad.
Fulham sit in the top 10, currently at 7th, and have won their last 2. I’m not expecting Wolves to stay hot this weekend.
This is the marquee match for Saturday’s slate, however, neither of these teams has been great over their last few games. Man City has dropped 2 straight league games, and Spurs have lost 3 of their last 5.
City still sits at 2nd in the league, and they are extremely talented. Spurs have also not won at Etihad since 2016, so it will be a tall task to pull this one off. Expect a fun game with some goals from some of the league's best players.
Liverpool are large road favorites in this one for good reason. While they have dominated the league so far this season, Southampton has looked helpless.
This is a matchup between the top team, Liverpool, and the 20th-placed team in Southampton. Southampton has home-field, but that won’t be enough in my eyes.
Since firing their manager Erik Ten Hag after a loss to West Ham, Man U have seemed to turn the tides. They have been unbeaten in League and Cup play, totaling 3 wins and 1 draw.
They now travel to take on a struggling Ipswich squad, who, in their defense, are coming off their first league win of the season. Ipswich has been bad defensively, and Man U has scored 12 goals in 4 games since sacking Ten Hag.
Newcastle are the worthy favorites for this matchup. West Ham haven’t been great while Newcastle is coming off 2 straight league wins.
West Ham is winless in their last 5 road games and questions are beginning to be raised about their managerial situation. Things are leaning in the right direction for Newcastle this weekend.
Aston Villa -165 vs Crystal Palace - Villa have dropped 2 straight, but they are back at home and facing a Palace team who hasn’t looked great this season.
Bournemouth +125 vs Brighton - This is a tough game to predict, but Bournemouth has been great at home this season winning 3 of 5 including wins over Man City and Arsenal.
Man United Win and Over 2.5 Total Goals +120 vs Ipswich - Man U has been hot since sacking their manager in late October. They are also taking on a faulty Ipswich defense, so they should be able to push the pace. Ipswich also has netted 7 goals in their last 5 league games, so they could help push the goal count.
