The London Derby should certainly be a fun matchup to start this weekend’s slate of league matches. Chelsea has won three of the last five matchups, including a 5-0 win in their last meeting. Chelsea is off to a solid start this season, currently sitting at 8th in the league table.
West Ham have struggled to this point, winning only one of their first four games. Both teams are under new management this season and are looking to improve their standing within the league. Chelsea has been the better of the two teams in this matchup in recent history, but most of their success has come at home.
They have only won once in their last 5 in London Stadium. Cole Palmer is a player to watch for Chelsea, starting this season with one goal and four assists through the first four games.
Man U has gotten off to an up-and-down start this season, splitting their four games with two wins and two losses. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace is still looking for their first win. Man U is the stronger team in this matchup and will be the favorite to win.
However, Crystal Palace has been successful in this matchup recently, winning the last two. Man U will be looking to avenge their 4-0 loss late last season on Crystal Palace’s home turf and coming off of a 3-0 victory over Southampton, they look ready to go.
Crystal Palace has only been held scoreless once so far this season and will look to make this game difficult for the Reds, but with only four scored through their first four games, they’ll need to up the pace. This should be a fun game for the nationally televised slot.
It is back-to-back big games for Arsenal who are coming off a big win last weekend against Tottenham. This will be a fun battle between two title contenders for this year's league championship.
Arsenal is up against the odds though, their last win in Etihad Stadium was in January 2015. Man City is once again looking like the team to beat this year with four wins through four weeks. Arsenal is also without their captain, Martin Odegaard, who was injured during the international break two weeks ago.
With Man City already ahead in the league table, this is a big game for Arsenal who has their sights set on the league championship. But Man City is not looking to give up their championship reign, they have won the last four Premier League titles. This may not be a high-scoring game since the two sides are so evenly matched but expect a fun game with a field full of stars.
