Manchester United at Brighton

Brighton is starting a new chapter in the 2024/25 season under their new manager Fabian Hurzler, who is replacing longtime manager Roberto De Zerbi after his move to Olympique Marseille in the French Ligue 1.

Hurzeler is known for his attacking style and it paid off in Brighton’s 3-0 opening win over Everton. Goals from Koaru Mitómano, Danny Welbeck, and Simon Andingra propelled the team to a victory.

Manchester United is also off to a strong start after a 1-0  victory over Fulham. Under their new ownership group, INEOS, The Reds are looking to build off of a weak season.

Many people thought that manager Erik Ten Hag would be fired after a disappointing finish in the Premier League table last season, but success in the FA Cup helped him to hold his position. Both teams will be looking to build on their strong starts this upcoming weekend.

Arsenal at Aston Villa

Both Aston Villa and Arsenal started their season on the right foot with victories, continuing on strong seasons from last year. Aston Villa finished the league in a Champions League spot, winning the top four, and had a solid win against West Ham 2-1.

Amadou Onana scored in his debut and seems to be a strong piece of this already solid squad. Led by manager Unai Emery, the Villa team has a strong attack spearheaded by Ollie Watkins, Leon Bailey, and Morgan Rogers. They will be taking on last year's league-best defense in Arsenal.

The Gunners are aiming to surpass last season's runner-up finish with a league championship this year. They started off with a 2-0 victory over Wolves with Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka leading the charge.

Last season, Aston Villa won a 2-0 match on the road which was a killer in Arsenal's quest for the league championship. Both teams will be looking to stay in a winning groove and Arsenal will surely be looking to avenge that loss from last season.

Chelsea at Wolves

Both of these teams started their seasons off on the wrong foot, albeit, at the hands of some tough competition. Wolves lost their opening game 2-0 to Arsenal which was a continuation of their struggles from last season where they finished 14th in the league table.

Scoring goals was a major issue for their team, but they have looked to strengthen that flaw with Jorgen Strand Larsen coming over from Celta Vigo on loan. Chelsea is also looking to bounce back from a tough loss at the hands of last year's league champions Manchester City.

Chelsea’s biggest flaw is their defense, which remains a concern for this season. Pedro Neto, now with Chelsea, will be facing his former club for the first time in this matchup which should surely be interesting. Wolves, as poor as they have played in recent years, have had Chelsea’s number in their last few matchups, winning the last 3 matches.
