Spain has looked like an offensive juggernaut throughout the tournament but France's defense has been up to the task. What will give in the semi-final?

Can Spain maintain it's scoring pace against a France side that has allowed 1 goal in 5 Euro games?

Two European monsters will meet in the first Euro semi-final on Tuesday with Spain taking on France.

Entering this tournament, our team gave out Spain as a potential tournament winner, not because of it's traditional possession-heavy style, but because it's youth, namely Williams, Olmo, and Lamine Yamal, is capable of scoring goals in bunches.

While that has played out, that youth will be tested with Spain picking up 1 key injury and 2 suspensions in the quarter-final round matchup with Germany. If La Roja is going to take down Les Bleus, they will have to do so without Pedri (knee injury), Dani Carvajal, and Robin Le Normand.

The midfield will be fine without Pedri, Rodri and Olmo is still one of the top midfield combinations in the tournament. Questions will be asked of veteran backline replacements Jesus Navas and Nacho Fernandez, but this is a French side without a PK and 0 other goals to it's name in the tournament.

Spain Opens as Slight Betting Favorite

We've gotten to a point with this French side where bettors have to question if they are even capable of producing goals. 2 own goals and 1 PK in 5 games is abysmal for an attack that is spearheaded by Mbappe.

The Spanish have poured in 11 goals in 5 games, while surrendering only 2. They were one of a few teams to go 3-0 in group play, and opened knockout play by beating Georgia 4-1 and Germany 2-1.

Despite the results to date being skewed significantly towards Spain, they are only a slight favorite over France.

Regular time odds: Spain +175 | Draw +175 | France +215

Odds to advance: Spain -120 vs France -105

Our Best Bet: Under 1.5 Goals

Spain's goal scoring has been impressive but we are talking about a French side that has conceded just 1 goal, a PK to Robert Lewandowski. The suspensions along Spain's back four are concerning, but this is a France side that has yet to score a natural goal and needed 2 own goals to even reach this point.

This game will be a fascinating watch, is a worthy semi-final, but has a 1-0 finish written all over it. We'll take the +160 odds and make the under 1.5 goals our best bet.
