What has happened to Aston Villa–or Crapston Nilla as the group chat calls them–under Steven Gerrard?
Gerrard has won just 11 of his 31 games in charge of the Premier League (well, maybe not for long) side, and there have been many calls for Stevie G to be sacked already, especially from Paul (aka Fraggles or @guyver81), who is the world's biggest Villa fan.
It does not get any easier for Villa before the break, which might end up curtains for Gerrard. Aston Villa plays top of the table Arsenal, which is off to a 4-0 start for only the third time in Premier League history, then gets Manchester City on the weekend.
Wow, those could be ugly: Villa should be in the relegation zone by the time the international break comes around mid-month.
But there are four other games on Wednesday as well, with the two most intriguing contests between Liverpool and Newcastle United as well as West Ham United and Tottenham.
Liverpool tied the all-time record with a 9-0 defeat of Bournemouth on the weekend, so it will be interesting to see how it goes for both of those clubs.
