What a way to open the 2021-22 Premier League season!

Remind me again which team Friday was the newly-promoted side, and which played in a European final two years ago and won the F.A. Cup last summer?

Brentford made short-handed Arsenal (one of the main reasons you have to check the lineups before you place bets on these matches) look awful, as Hey Jude rung out before and after the match at the beautiful new Brentford Community Stadium.

Will we get more surprises Saturday, as 14 more teams kick off their campaign?

The opener has both Manchester United and Leeds fans worked up, as the two hated teams play the first competitive match back at Old Trafford with fans since Scott McTominay capped off the famous derby win way back on March 8, 2020.

Speaking of McTominay, he bagged a three-minute brace the last time these two teams played in Manchester, as part of a 6-2 destruction of Leeds in December. Will we see the same thing again (from my lips to God's ears) tomorrow? Up the Red roses!

At 10 a.m. Eastern time, there are five very interesting encounters. The two TV games are Everton against depleted Southampton (which seems to sell another player every other day) and F.A. Cup and F.A. Community Shield champion Leicester City against Wolverhampton.

Newly-crowned UEFA Super Cup champion Chelsea comes home to face Crystal Palace in a London derby, while Aston Villa also heads to London to face newly-promoted Watford.

It is a day of celebration for all football fans and bettors, as the Premier League is back.
