UEFA Champions League Final pits Chelsea against Manchester City
It has to be Pep Guardiola and Manchester City, right?
The Cityzens are not even supposed to be in the UEFA Champions League Final: they received a two-year ban last summer from European competition, which was overturned in the CAS.
Pep has seen a lot of failure in the Champions League since he left Lionel Messi and Barcelona: Bayern Munich never made a final in his time there (won it before and after), and Manchester City had struggled until this season.
It has to be Manchester City, right?
Chelsea has beaten the Cityzens twice in the last six weeks, once in the league, and once in the F.A. Cup. The Blues head to Porto confident that they can pull off an upset. It would be just like Chelsea to get a game-winner from Timo Werner, who has been, to use a English colloquialism, pants this year.
But I don’t see it.
It has to be Manchester City.
