Southampton and Arsenal “play two” as first of intriguing F.A. Cup Fourth Round games Saturday
It looks like Arsenal is going to get some reinforcements in this window to help the Gunners climb up the table.
But those new players might be too late to help Arsenal defend its F.A. Cup, as the Gunners head to Southampton Saturday in the early kick off. These two teams will turn around and play again Tuesday, at Southampton again, in the Premier League, so this one Saturday really could be interesting,
The Saints have played twice since a long COVID-19 layoff, a 2-0 loss to Leicester, and a 2-0 win Tuesday in the made up F.A. Cup Third Round contest with Shrewsbury. Arsenal usually does really well in this competition, and it will probably come down to which lineups both teams pick.
Manchester City should roll past League Two side Cheltenham (how about that? City with a lower league draw), while the top two teams in the Championship, Swansea City and Norwich City, could be set to show just how good they are, and what their chances are to contend for promotion, if they can get past fellow Championship sides
It should be a fun day of matches around England.
