Now or never for Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Mönchengladbach in Bundesliga action
At the halfway point of the season, there might not be a more disappointing team in Europe than Borussia Dortmund (although, Liverpool and Barcelona fans would probably argue vehemently.)
Coming into Friday’s first match of the second half, Dortmund sits 10 points behind Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga table. While that in itself might not be too embarrassing (Bayern is the champion of everything), Dortmund is just two points ahead of eighth place Eintracht Frankfurt, and has more losses (six) than every other team in the top 10. The fact that they have not drawn too often is saving them right now.
Borussia Monchengladbach is the opponent today, and although it starts in seventh today, Monchengladbach would jump up to fourth with a win, and just one point out of third.
There should be goals, and I am going to go with Dortmund, even though they have let bettors down SO MANY TIMES this year. At some point, this talented team has to turn it around and start winning.
In Spain, Levante is even odds to win at home against Valladolid. These teams are pretty close in the standings, so these odds are interesting. I will take the chance with the favorite here, hoping the books see something I might not.
