False 9 Best Bets for Saturday’s Fixtures:
Lens vs Strasbourg:
Lens takes on Strasbourg which historically speaking has seen its fair share of goals. Both teams have scored in their last 11 matchups and 4 out of their last 6 matchups have seen over 2.5 goals. So far this season, both teams have showed off their quality in the final third; however, their defenses have faltered to keep clean sheets. Lens has scored in every home game this season and in the last 8 games for Strasbourg has seen 2 goals or more being scored. If Lens can score 2 against an opponent like Lyon, they very well can put up goals against Strasbourg.
With the Home/Away Goal average being at 3.64 goals per game, I see no different and I am predicting a high scoring game.
PREDICTION STATS:
Home/Away BTTS average is 60%
Home/Away average for over 2.5 is 71%
Lens scores 1.88 average goals a home game
Strasbourg concedes an average of 2 goals a game
THE PICK:
Over 2.5 – 115
St. Pauli vs Holstein Kiel:
St. Pauli hosts Holstein Keil in Bundesliga 2 early Saturday morning. St. Pauli sit in the relegation zone with only 9 points from 14 games while Holstein Kiel are 2nd in the standings with 28 points. When looking at the odds, this game looks like a trap and I would usually stay away from the Money line. The only deciding factor for the odds being the way they are is the Head-to-Head record where St. Pauli has a great record against Holstein Kiel. However, with the value of the odds for Holstein Kiel to win and St. Pauli’s current form, I cannot resist.
Holstein Kiel has 4 wins in the last 5 away games and 14 points from 6 away games. From those 6 away games, they have scored 11 times and conceded only 3 times. St. Pauli are winless in their last 5 home games and have only 5 points from 6 home games. With St. Pauli’s abysmal form and Holstein’s motivation to continue for the automatic promotion to the Bundesliga, I believe Holstein Kiel wins this one.
The PICK:
Holstein Kiel ML -110
Union Berlin vs Wolfsburg:
Seems like for every Bettors Insider article I write, I have included a Union Berlin prediction. Well, I am going back to the hottest team in the Bundesliga. Union Berlin look like a force to be reckon with and with their attacking front scoring goals for fun, I see goals again for a Union Berlin game. Wolfsburg are no pushover and can see them scoring at least one. Last weekend, Wolfsburg lost to Dortmund 2-0; however, peppered 22 shots at Dortmund. The only concern I have with this pick is whether Wolfsburg can convert their chances, but I will take my chances.
Both teams sit level in points and are determined to get into the top 4. Based on tactics, this game will be one of the best to watch this weekend in the Bundesliga. In their last head-to-head matchup, the game ended 2-2 and with the Home/Away Goal average being at 3.07 goals per game, I see a 2-1 game.
PREDICTION STATS:
Home/Away BTTS average is 71%
Union Berlin scores 2.43 average goals a home game
Strasbourg concedes an average of 1.29 goals a game
THE PICK:
Over 2.5 -110
Bonus Play:
Not going to go into the specifics of the matchups or statistics, but I see Everton and Real Madrid winning comfortably. In the FA Cup, Everton host Rotherdam who have been in horrible form in the Championship while in La Liga, Real Madrid look to be back to their winning ways when they travel to Osasuna. For the value, you cannot pass up this parlay.
THE PICK:
Everton/Real Madrid ML Parlay +103
