With Bundesliga table tighter than expected, Bayern Munich looks to go on run similar to 2020
At this point, it is common knowledge that 2020 was a pretty bad year for most people.
But it was not for Bayern Munich.
The team went on an epic winning streak to win every cup in front of it, and came into 2021 with just one loss in the Bundesliga through 14 matches.
There is no cushion at the top, though: RB Leipzig is just two points behind, and there is a group of teams within striking distance.
Surprisingly, Borussia Monchengladbach is not one of them. With just 21 points and five wins from 14 games, they sit in seventh, despite making the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
I have to go with Bayern here, as the team starts to get some momentum going heading into February and the return of Champions League play.
