NHL: Sunday think underdog Devils and heavily favored Penguins
Rangers (17-16-7) +110 @ Coyotes (17-21-3) -130 4 pm
Pick: None
Both the Rangers and Coyotes have been in a rut for quite some time and are struggling to find consistency. A lot of the time, Arizona will only find the back of the net once but other times they will put up 5 goals, it really depends on the night. They’ve dropped their last three games as well. The Rangers on the other hand suffer from a similar problem and have dropped their last two games. It’s not that they are playing poorly, it’s just thats everyone else is playing slightly better. This is a matchup that is just too close to call between these bottom of the barrel teams.
Devils (16-17-7) +190 @ Golden Knights (25-15-4) -230 4 pm
Pick: Devils money line +190
The Golden Knights have been on fire winning their last five games but those games were not against the spiffiest competition. They played the Kings (16-23-3 and last in the Pacific division) twice in that span, and the Coyotes (second to last place in the Pacific Division). Vegas is a good team, but it’s time for them to drop one and it’ll be to the resurgent Devils.
Rookie G Mackenzie Blackwood is out with an injury after showing some incredible potential with his last few starts, However, G Keith Kinkaid was getting the nod in net regardless tonight. After his great performance against Arizona in the shootout on Friday, the team should feel confident in front of him. The last time these two teams met, New Jersey managed to take it in overtime and get a comeback win. Look for the underdogs to do it again and for your wallet to thank you afterwards!
Blackhawks (15-21-7) +210 @ Penguins (23-12-6) -250 8 pm
Pick: Penguins money line
Sometimes you just have to go with the hot hand. The Penguins continue their winning streak and look to make it nine games tonight. Pittsburgh currently holds the longest current winning streak in the league and they show no signs of slowing down. They are playing the Blackhawks who own a -33 goal differential and have lost their last two games. This one is a no brainer. Penguins all the way.
