Bears vs. Lions Predictions: 3 Player Props for Sunday, September 14
Part of the NFL Week 2 slate includes an NFC North rivalry between the Bears and the Lions. Get our top player props for that matchup in this guide.

Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season was fantastic, and fans are hoping that Week 2 provides similar levels of excitement. There are several great games on the slate, which could make it difficult to narrow down the best games to bet on, but we’ve identified our favorite, at least from the early games.
Ben Johnson gets his debut against his former team, the Detroit Lions, in an opportunity to show that he and the Chicago Bears are no joke this season. The Bears lost in Week 1 due to a late-game collapse against the Minnesota Vikings but hope to bounce back this week.
We’re certainly looking forward to watching this one go down, so let’s get into our favorite props from it, all of which are found on Underdog!
Jahmyr Gibbs OVER 67.5 Rushing Yards
Lions fans and Jahmyr Gibbs fantasy football managers were equally frustrated with his performance last week. He had just 19 rushing yards on 9 attempts, but we’ll chalk that up to the Green Bay Packers’ elite defense rather than a poor showing from Gibbs.
We’re more than confident that a player of his caliber won’t be held down for too long. If he gets 12+ attempts in this game, there’s no reason why he can’t hit the over on this line, if not have 80+ yards by the end of it.
Caleb Williams OVER 210.5 Passing Yards
Caleb Williams’ Week 1 performance left something to be desired. He didn’t have a pick, and he did throw one touchdown, which was encouraging, but his 210 yards weren’t awesome, seeing that he only completed 60% of his passes.
The Vikings do have a strong secondary, an area the Lions aren’t as strong in, which is why we’re trying this line out again for Williams. Many quarterbacks had the Week 1 jitters last week, so we’re expecting a bounce back, having closer to 250 passing yards than 210.
Rome Odunze OVER 4.5 Receptions
This line feels really low for Rome Odunze. He was Williams’ favorite target in Week 1, a player who came into the league at the same time as him last year. Odunze also caught the Bears’ lone touchdown pass last week and continues to be a focal point in this offense.
He’s coming off a game where he had nine targets and six receptions, and should eat against the Lions in this one. We’re going to be taking the over on this line until he doesn’t hit it, but don’t be surprised if Underdog bumps this up in the weeks to come.
