Want to make Monday Night Football even more exciting? Check out our Same Game Parlay for Saints at Chiefs below. Best of luck with all of your action!
The New Orleans Saints look to get back in the win column on Monday night after dropping two straight games. Luckily for them, Patrick Mahomes is without his WR1 in Rashee Rice and RB1 in Isiah Pacheco.
Furthermore, Mahomes is just 7-3 on Monday Night Football throughout his career, including dropping two straight games. Kansas City has truly been hanging on by a thread in their last few wins, defeating the slightly banged up Justin Herbert-led Chargers 17-10 and the week before, the Falcons by just five points.
With the Saints coming into this game much healthier, Alvin Kamara, Rashid Shaheed, and Chris Olave have the chance to prove their worth and grab a hold of a share of the NFC South lead with a solid offensive performance here.
As for their defense, containing Mahomes is difficult, but without two of his key offensive options, it’s all about shutting down everyone outside of Kelce. If they can do this, Week 5 of MNF will come down to the final snaps and the Saints will cover this spread. New Orleans has covered 3 of 4 games this season.
With Pacheco and Rice out of this game, it’s a rather shocking statement but I’m expecting Travis Kelce to finally get in the end zone.
We saw shades of the old Kelce once Rashee Rice left the Chargers game as he finished the game with 89 yards. Looking at his Monday Night Football performances, he’s scored 13 touchdowns in 14 games.
The Saints allowed a massive game to Dallas Goedert in their Week 3 loss, so look for Reid and Mahomes to try to hook up with Kelce throughout this game and especially in the red zone where they can get creative in order to beat the Saints and remain undefeated.
In 17 career road games, Rashid Shaheed averages 55.2 YPG. In 14 career home games, Shaheed averages 37.2 YPG. As the Saints travel to Kansas City, my eyes are on Rashid Shaheed to deliver a few big gains downfield.
While the Chiefs defense won’t allow much behind them, the WR2 for New Orleans will have another heavily targeted game. In New Orleans’ Week 4 loss to Atlanta, Shaheed finished with a career high 11 targets.
With more trust from Carr, this is a perfect matchup and potential game script to allow Shaheed to deliver 50+ yards.
Our sneaky Monday night bet is Xavier Worthy to rush for over 5 yards. Worthy has hit this prop in two of four games including in his first game this season where he rushed once for 21 yards against Baltimore.
Again, without two of the Chiefs' key offensive X-factors, Worthy brings that change of speed that Reid will look for on 3rd-and-shorts and in the middle of the field to push the Kansas City offense down the field.
Xavier had 3 attempts in the last game against Atlanta. With plus odds here, this is a must-play prop.
