Break out the early morning coffee this Sunday, folks! Week 5 of the NFL season brings football fans the first London game of the year. Will the Vikings remain perfect on the season, or will the Jets pull off the upset?

Check out our betting preview for Jets vs. Vikings below. Enjoy the action, and best of luck with your bets! Let's break down this iconic matchup!

Will the Jets Bounce Back After Brutal Loss?

New York suffered a shocking loss at the hands of the Denver Broncos last week. The Jets went off as 8-point favorites but ended up losing the game outright to the tune of 10-9. Their offense was held to just 248 total yards and the running game just never got going.

Denver has a stellar defense, but there's no excuse for a superstar like Breece Hall to be held to just 4 yards on 10 carries. Nathaniel Hackett will have to find ways to get Hall the ball in open space against Minnesota on Sunday. Aaron Rodgers said his knee was a little swollen after the loss, but most folks expect him to play in London.

New York's offense has been less than impressive, but their defense has been solid all year long. The Jets have one of the top secondaries in the league, which is the reason they rank 2nd in yards per pass allowed (5.6). This unit also boasts the 2nd best sack rate in the NFL at 11.48%.

Will the Vikings Keep Rolling?

Minnesota enjoyed a narrow victory over division rival Green Bay in Week 4. The Vikings have arguably been the biggest surprise of the 2024 season so far. Sam Darnold has been playing like an All-Pro QB, as he's thrown for 932 yards and 11 touchdowns already this season.

Kevin O'Connell has this Vikings offense humming, as they rank 2nd in yards per pass. It'll be interesting to see how O'Connell schemes up plays against these elite Jets corners. As you might expect, Justin Jefferson is still the main man on this Minnesota offense, as he's already hauled in 4 touchdown receptions this season.

Brian Flores has done a fabulous job with this Minnesota defense. They've given up a lot of passing yards but that's only because they've been playing from ahead in all of their games. The Vikings do a remarkable job against the run, as they're only allowing 3.8 yards per rush (3rd in NFL).

Best Bet: Jets +3 (-115 at Fanatics)

I just can't resist getting the 3 at a fairly cheap price over at Fanatics. The look-ahead line for this game was Jets -2.5. I know Minny has been great, but is a 5.5-point adjustment really warranted on a neutral field?

This is a solid 'buy-low' spot on the Jets after their embarrassing loss to the Broncos last week. Along those same lines, this is a great 'sell-high' spot on the Vikings. I think Minnesota is a legitimately good team, but this number is just too high.

This Jets offense just faced a defense that similar to Minnesota's. Look for Hackett and Rodgers to use that recent knowledge to scheme up a better game plan this time around. Let's go J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS!

Prediction: Jets 20 - Vikings 17
