Thursday Night Football is almost upon us again, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking on the Atlanta Falcons in this NFC South divisional clash! This may be one of the best Thursday Night Football games of the year, as both of these teams are hitting their stride. The offensive talent on both teams will be enough to make this game a must-watch!

If that’s not good enough for you, they are also running another promo that anyone can take advantage of! They are offering an early payout for any money line bet where your selected team is up 17 points or more. So you could take the Buccs money line, and if they take a 17-point lead at any point in the game, you win your money line bet regardless of the final result!

Week 5 Thursday Night Football Betting Guide

The clash between these two teams is coming literally at the perfect time. The Buccs have been a surprisingly dominant team in this young NFL season. They have only dropped one game to Denver in week three. Baker Mayfield has been a revelation in a year with lackluster QB performance. He has been a scoring machine, averaging 24 points a game. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin have been stellar so far, as this Buccs defense has been staggering in their own right. The combination of all this effort has led to a 3-1 start to the season!

On the other side of the fence, the Atlanta Falcons haven’t had the start we expected. Even though they are 2-2, there have been issues. Kirk Cousins has had a slow start but looks to be returning to form. This offense has mainly struggled to find a real workhorse. Kyle Pitts, Bijan Robinson, Tyler Allgeier, and Drake London have all been fine, but no one has elevated in this offense. That may be partly due to Cousins’ slow start, but still, it’s been worrying for one of the most hyped-up offenses in the league. Regardless, this team remains formidable, and this could just be the start of a great year.

Our Favorite Lines for TNF

Tyler Allgeier +50 Rushing Yards

Tyler Allgeier has been edging into the Bijan Robinson’s carries all year. Those carry attempts might shrink even more since Bijan is dealing with a hamstring issue. Allgeier was also the better rusher early in the year. Bijan is still the better player overall, but Tyler is proving himself a solid back in this league. We think 50+ yards for Allgeier is very doable. The only issue with this line is that the Buccs have been stout with their rush defense. However, we still feel good about it, especially considering that there is an off-chance Robinson misses this game, too.

Mike Evans Anytime TD Scorer

Mike Evans hasn’t been as bullet proof has he’s been in the past, but he’s still extremely reliable in this offense. He already has 3 TDs in the first four games of the year. Granted, two of those did come against a soft Commanders secondary. We still like it, though, especially at its current line of +130. Getting plus odds on one of the best wide receivers in the league, and the lead receiver of this Buccs team that loves to air it out, is solid. We are a little nervous about Godwin eating into Evans' targets. So alternatively, Godwin at +150 for an Anytime TD score isn’t awful either!

Points Total Over 44

One thing about this game is that we expect either or both teams to run up the score here. Tampa Bay has had multiple games over the 30-point mark, and Atlanta is also warming up. Even though the prime-time games typically go under, this one will go against that trend. The Atlanta defense has been nothing special this year, while the Buccs defense has been solid. Regardless, neither has a defense capable of shutting down the field, and both have offenses with stellar players. With what we've seen so far, 44 points might be the half-time points total!
