The NFL Season is just around the corner, and there is a lot to look forward to this year. Teams have been hard at work during the offseason, hoping to put the right formula together to improve during the 2024 campaign. We are excited to see how this year is going to go down, hoping to see what team will take a step forward, and which teams will struggle more than anticipated.
With this in mind, we are going to break down each division in the league, getting a bit deeper into each team, and looking at some of the betting lines as well.
We’ll start with the NFC North, a division that saw two playoff teams last year: the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions. Which team or teams will represent the NFC North in the playoffs this season? We’ll soon find out. Let’s get into it!

The offseason has been a bit tumultuous for the Minnesota Vikings. They lost Kirk Cousins in free agency, leaving themselves in a bit of a pickle as it pertains to their quarterback situation.
After signing Sam Darnold in free agency and drafting J.J. McCarthy in the first round, the Vikings now have two quarterbacks that should help them for the foreseeable future. Justin Jefferson is now inked to a long-term deal, giving either quarterback a dominant player as their WR1.
With the Vikings not having many other major changes since last season, we like their chances of hitting the over on their win total this year. They might not win many more than seven games but with players like Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and T.J. Hockenson on the roster, they could be a surprisingly decent team.
We were pretty surprised to see how high the Chicago Bears’ win total was heading into the 2024 season. Sure, they drafted Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick, but the Bears only won seven games last year, and besides their new quarterback, they haven’t gotten two games better, at least in our eyes.
The Bears will still have to play six games against their NFC North counterparts, and we don’t like their odds of being above .500 in those contests. With that in mind, we’re taking the under on their win total this season.
The Green Bay Packers surprised a lot of people in 2023. It was Jordan Love’s first season as the full-time starter, and they were a few plays away from making it to the NFC Championship.
Despite not having a great supporting cast around him, at least on paper, Love looked like he could be the face of this team for the foreseeable future.
The Packers won nine games last year after a slow start and with a full season and training under his belt, we have the utmost confidence that Love can lead this team to at least a 10-win campaign, if not more. The Packers have a legitimate shot to win this division, as their defense continues to get better, and their offense seems to be on the up and up.
The Detroit Lions were one of the most surprising teams in the NFL last season. After struggling to gain traction for many years, the Lions made it all the way to the NFC Championship last year.
Dan Campbell has really started to turn this team around, both with his unorthodox coaching methods and the trust that his team has in him. The Lions are certainly a better team than they were two years ago, but after their success in the 2023 season, oddsmakers were quick to bump their win total line up to 10.5.
It might seem high, but, similarly to the Packers, we see no reason why the Lions can’t hit this over. Their schedule might be difficult after winning the division, but we have confidence that their offense and defense will keep their pace going and play well again next year.
