Week 11: 2-2

WEEK 12 (picks in CAPS)

SEATTLE +1½ at Philadelphia

My Eagles Twitter feed has been pretty tame this week (echoing last week leading up to Patriots game, when even the Tom Brady haters seemed subdued). Maybe Philly fans know they’ve got four winnable games in the next five weeks (Giants twice, Miami, Washington) that should land them at 9 wins and thus make the Dec. 22 Dallas game for all the marbles. Maybe Carson Wentz can get injured again and Nick Foles can come in and ... oh, wait. Eagles have been abysmal at home ATS since last season and Seahawks are 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS on road this season.

TAMPA BAY +3½ at Atlanta

Taking a flyer and going with the wiseguys on the Bucs in this one despite their recent ATS woes (0-6 since 55-point effort at Rams). Main reason is I don’t see Atlanta defense keeping up recent pace -- 12 combined points against Carolina and New Orleans -- and Tampa Bay can score enough to keep it close in epic battle of 3-7 teams.

Baltimore -3 at L.A. RAMS

After not taking the Ravens seriously enough this season, you’d think I would have learned my lesson by now. But, alas ... I see parallels between this game and last year’s marquee, prime-time game against Kansas City in Week 11 won by the Rams, 54-51. This L.A. team hasn’t been as dominant, but is 7-3 ATS and at 6-4 SU is scratching and clawing to get back into the playoff hunt while Baltimore already has the AFC North well in hand.

GREEN BAY +3½ at San Francisco

Niners have showed some cracks in the armor recently, particularly on defense, and are 1-3-1 ATS in last 5 (and, of course, would be 1-4 without last week’s crazy comeback against Cards). Packers already have wins at Chicago, Dallas and Kansas City and are coming off bye week after holding off Carolina and cashing as 5-point chalk.
