WEEK 7 RECORD: 1-3

WEEK 8 ( picks in CAPS)

Los Angeles Chargers +3½ at CHICAGO

Both teams have disappointed so far, but I like Bears’ defense to rebound from last two games in which they allowed more points (60) than they did in the first four games. Line dropped from 5½ and should be no problem for Chicago to cover in front of hungry home crowd, against team that has only one cover this season.

ARIZONA +10 ½ at New Orleans

Drew Brees says he’s playing and the line has jumped 3 points. That’s a lot of wood against a team that is 5-2 ATS this season and is progressing fast. ‘Zona is 0-3 SU and 1-2 ATS against quality competition (Ravens-Panthers-Seahawks) but hunch is they make this one a game long enough to get under the number.

CLEVELAND +11 at New England

Hard to go against my Pats, but don’t believe they can keep up defensive pace of allowing under a touchdown per game. Their numbers on both sides of the ball have come against weak schedule, and desperate Browns coming off bye week don’t figure to hold anything back this week.

CAROLINA +5½ at San Francisco

Unbeaten Niners are just 2-2 ATS last 4 and facing rested Panthers team that has won and covered last 4. SF defense has allowed 10 points in last 3 games and is due for a correction against Carolina offense that has cracked 30-point mark in 3 of last 4.
