Princeton Tigers at Yale Bulldogs, 7 pm Eastern
The Pick: Princeton -115, bet $28.75 to win $25
The two teams at the top of the Ivy League face off for first place tonight. Princeton trails Yale by one game. So Princeton will want to tie things up. Princeton lost at home to the Bulldogs on Jan. 29, 80-74, so they’ll have revenge on their mind. Both teams played last night, but while Princeton cruised to a 19-point win over Brown, Yale played a tightly-fought game to Penn that they easily could’ve lost. The Tigers have a top-50 adjusted offense; the Bulldogs’ offense is worse than average. I think Princeton smacks Yale tonight.
Cornell Big Red at Harvard Crimson, 7 pm
The Pick: Harvard -192, bet $48 to win $25
I’ll pay a big price to take Harvard in just a straight win, and while you may think that’s me paying a big price, it’s really Harvard being penalized for goofing around and letting Columbia stick around last night. Even though they allowed a terrible Columbia team to hang around, tonight’s opponent Cornell fell apart in the last four minutes against Dartmouth. Besides, with the Big Red’s loss, the Crimson are one half-game behind them for the fourth spot in what’s apparently known as “Ivy Madness.” (stares) Cornell really doesn’t have anyone who can shut down Harvard wing Noah Kirkwood (17.5 points per game), and the Crimson’s adjust defense is average while Cornell’s adjusted offense is, well, not good. Again, I’ll pay extra for just a win.
The Pick: Parlay Princeton -1.5 w/Harvard -4.5 w/Dartmouth -11.5 +605, bet $5 to win $30.27
Just a little taste on three favorites to handle their business…
