Duke Blue Devils at Clemson Tigers, 8 pm Eastern
The Pick: under 142 points (-108), bet $21.51 to win $20
Duke’s high-powered offense has slowed a bit in the past couple of weeks, averaging only 73.4 points per game. That’s almost seven points lower than their season average of 80.2. Coming off a tough, last-second loss to Virginia that the Blue Devils at once deserved to win and lose, they head to Clemson, who only averages 72.8 points per contest. Duke’s adjusted D is 17th in the nation. That, plus the fact that Clemson historically is a tough place for the Blue Devils to play, tells me tonight will be another grind. Duke should win, but it’ll be more of an exorcism of Tuesday’s loss than anything else.
