Dartmouth Big Green at Yale Bulldogs, 5 pm Eastern

The Pick: Dartmouth +7.5 (-110), bet $11 to win $10

I continue to like Dartmouth a little bit more than everyone else does. They lost to Princeton by four points, and Harvard by only one. The Big Green is 6-2-1 against the spread in their last nine, while Yale is 5-10 in their last 15. Yeah, I continue to like Yale less than everyone else does. The Bulldogs did just get a big win against Princeton on the road and have won four out of their last five. But Dartmouth has the ability to slow the game down, and Yale will be looking past this game to their matchup with Harvard tomorrow. The spread’s too high, and I’ll take the points.

Princeton Tigers at Cornell Big Red, 7 pm Eastern

The Pick: Princeton -150, bet $22.50 to win $15

This isn’t a vindictive pick, I swear. It has less to do with Cornell absolutely screwing me last Sunday, and more to do with Princeton losing to Yale and finding themselves in a fight for the top Ivy League spot. The Big Red are 7-0 at home but it ends tonight. I trust - I trust - that Tigers head coach Mitch Henderson is a little more astute than Brown’s coach Mike Martin and realizes that the way to beat Cornell is not - is not - racing up and down the court with them. Cornell’s self-admitted lack of talent dictates that they get opponents in a track meet. I’d appreciate Henderson knowing that, or asking me - I’d have a five-minute conversation with him for a small consulting fee. Seriously, Princeton is better, and they just lost. This is a sneaky big game. Focus, Mitch.

Harvard Crimson at Brown Bears, 7 pm Eastern

The Pick: Brown -3.5 (-108), bet $21.60 to win $20

See, here’s my lack of vindictiveness; I’m going with Brown tonight despite the face they laid a smelly mess last Sunday which humiliated me in front of my family and friends. After absolutely wrecking my weekend with a last-second 74-72 loss to Cornell (which wasn’t really a last-second loss so much as a horrendous performance almost redeemed with a comeback, then some inexplicable coaching decisions from Mike Martin, then a last-second loss), I’m trusting them again. The Bears have lost four of five, but their win before that was at Harvard on Jan. 7. I think they’ll win again tonight. They’re 42 spots ahead of the Crimson in the Pomeroy, even with an adjusted bad luck rating that’s 22nd-worst in the country. Harvard seems to be able to beat bad Ivy teams but not good ones. They play Yale tomorrow and Wednesday, so I think they’ll also be looking forward a little bit. So. Focus, Mike.
