Brown Bears at Maryland Terrapins, 7 pm Eastern

The Pick: Over 133.5 points (-109), bet $10.90 to win $10.

There are no ACC games until Saturday, so I looked at Brown/Maryland. As always, my first thought was about Maryland being a solid ACC team, and then as always, I had to remember, “Oh, yeah - they’re in the Big 10 now,” which, as always, aggravated me for about an hour. When I got over my annoyance, I decided to take the over because Brown just gave up 93 points to Syracuse, and Maryland’s even better than the Orangemen. The Bears give up 66.1 points per game…to teams like Sacred Heart and UMass-Lowell. They give up 93 points to teams like Syracuse, and did I mention Maryland is better than Syracuse? Four of Brown’s last games have surpassed 133.5 points; the Terrapins should surpass their average of 69.4 points per game.
