(sigh) Binghamton was up the whole game before letting Columbia force overtime. Maybe it was Columbia’s home court advantage? You ever been to their gym? It’s like watching a game in a four-story Manhattan walkup. Weird.

Seattle O’Sullivan 2021-2022 ACC season so far: 0-4, -$52.75*

Seattle O’Sullivan 2021-2022 Ivy League season so far: 1-1, +$8.50

*I decided to put my cross-conference tease loss in my ACC record. Whenever I make a “layered play,” I’ll let you know where I tallied it and rely on you readers to do any necessary math.

(Standing Caveat: The universe is chaotic. Life is unpredictable. Things happen. Like injuries. Penn Quakers at Utah State Big Blue, 2:30 pm Eastern

The Pick: Utah State -8.5 (-105) bet $9.50 to win $9.05

This game helps open the Myrtle Beach Invitational in South Carolina. The main thing that worries me about the Quakers here is rebounding; They’re getting beaten on the boards, averaging only 34 per game while Utah State averages 40.5. Penn’s won two in a row but against some pretty bad teams. The line here may have been affected by their blowing out Lafayette on Tuesday and while that was a good win, it was against a terrible team. If Utah State can handle the glass, they should be able to pull this out.

Temple Owls and Clemson Tigers, 4 pm Eastern

The Pick: Clemson -4.5 (-118), bet $9.50 to win $8.05

I need to start picking some winners here to get the season “officially started,” so I’ll bank on Clemson taking care of business at “home” in Charleston, SC. The Tigers have started off 3-0 and outscore the Owls by over six points per game (77.7 to 71.5). Temple’s field goal percentage so far is an underwhelming 43.3% in their 1-1 start. Clemson usually performs well until conference play, so I’ll take them here.
