Pick:
Wright St. (-1.5)

While most of the marquee college basketball match-ups are on Saturday, there’s an interesting one between two mid-major programs on Friday night that we’re looking at. The Northern Kentucky Norse visit the Wright State Raiders in a game that features the top two teams in the Horizon League.

Northern Kentucky (20-6) might be on track for a 12-13 seed that could win a game or two in the big dance. However, we’re on the short home favorite in Wright State (15-11) in this one. Since losing to Northern Kentucky 68-64 on Jan. 11, the Raiders have gone 7-1 and 5-3 ATS. For the season, Wright State is 11-2 at home. This is a revenge spot for the Raiders and also their biggest home game of the season. In these kinds of mid-major conference games, taking the home team when essentially all you need them to do is win is usually a good bet.
