NCAAB: Thursday Teaser hopes Dragons are fiery, sticks with Rice

UNC Wilmington +4 @ DREXEL (162.5), 7 pm. Tonight we have a battle between two of the statistically worst defensive teams in D1 - notice that Over/Under. But as passive as the teams are on D, predicting two teams in a close game to both score over 80 seems kinda ridiculous. So . . .Drexel (11-13, 5-6) is 7-3 at home and hasn’t lost at home to a team ranked as low as UNCW. On the other hand, UNCW (8-16, 4-7) pummeed the Dragons on their own court on January 12. Since then, they’re 1-5 and lost three straight at home to teams ranked lower than Drexel. We’re going to give Drexel the Teaser 5 and hope they treat the DAC crowd to a win. Western Kentucky -4.5 @ RICE (150.5), 9 pm. Western Kentucky (13-10, 6-4) has had the better season, but getting 4.5 at home is tempting. Getting 9.5 is more tempting. Rice (9-14, 4-6) hasn’t been winning that much but they’ve been losing close. Their last four defeats have been by 4, 3, 1 and 1. We think they’ll hang close tonight.
