NCAAB: Saturday Teaser likes Ivy ’dogs Dartmouth and Cornell

Dartmouth +10 @ HARVARD 2 pm, Cornell +4 @ COLUMBIA 7 pm
Published on

Dartmouth +10 @ HARVARD 2 pm. Dartmouth shocked Harvard 81-63 two weeks ago on its home court and we certainly don’t expect a repeat of that today in Harvard’s house -- especially with star guard Bryce Aiken back. But . . . The Big Green (10-7) have lost only two games by 15 points all season -- back in November to Top 20 Buffalo and Top 50 San Francisco and Harvard (7-7) hasn’t been blowing teams out. So we’re giving our 5 points to the boys from Hanover and hope they fight to the end. We’re pairing that with Cornell +4 @ COLUMBIA 7 pm. Cornell (9-8) has won four of its last five and beat Columbia 60-59 in Ithaca last week, a game it led comfortably until it almost gave it away. Columbia (5-10) only has three D1 wins and although they can be tough in their noisy little box of a gym, the loss of star guard Mike Smith has really hindered their firepower. I can see them ekeing out a win, but not sure they can score enough to beat Cornell by 9, unless Cornell scoring threat Matt Morgan leaves his game in Ithaca. So we’re giving our Teaser 5 to Cornell.
Pick: Dartmouth +15 over HARVARD paired with Cornell +9 over Columbia.
