NCAAB: Friday MAAC Daddy Teaser Pairs Red Foxes & Golden Griffins

Siena @ MARIST -2.5 7pm. We’ll start in Poughkeepsie where two meh MAAC teams square off. Marist (6-8) has so far been slightly better than Siena (5-10) and they’re at home coming off a win against Manhattan. Except for a surprising home upset of Harvard Dec. 1, the Saints have played relatively true to form. Should be close, but we’ll take our +5 and give them to the home team for a little cushion. We’re going to pair that with another MAAC contest, Rider -1.5 @ CANISIUS 7 pm. Overall, Rider (7-7) is the better squad, but Canisius (5-9) had won two in a row before taking a tough Brown team to overtime before falling. They also have no bad home loss (no real bad losses at all) since getting dumped by Albany nearly two months ago. The Golden Griffins band box home court may not give them too big an edge, but Buffalo is going to be COLD today and that can sometime do weird things to teams. So we’re going to move Canisius to +6.5 and hope for another close one.
