NCAAB: Howard at George Washington (-6) Friday, 7 p.m.

D.C. neighbors square off in a night of limited action
Published on

There are only four NCAA hoops games on the docket tonight and we’re trying to figure out this Metro match-up. 2-8 GW has a hard time scoring and 6-3 Howard (3 of their wins are against non-D1 opponents) has a hard time defending. Howard has two decent wins over UMass and American and the stronger resume so far, and the Bison have lost the past two years to the Colonials. Revenge? Also, Howard is better this year, GW is worse and it’s hard to imagine a big home crowd advantage around final exams and the holidays. Even though Howard’s 19-point loss at Little Rock is concerning, we’re going to pick Howard +6 with the thought they can spring the upset. If you put a musket to our head on the 153.5 over/under, we’ll take the under.

RESULT

The line was fine. GW won 70-64 so our +6 made it a push. The final score came in well under the 153.5 O/U.
