Memphis Grizzlies at Philadelphia 76ers: Nov. 2nd, 4:30 PM PT

Well, the injured have hit early this year. We haven’t even tasted what the full-strength 6ers look like yet. With Paul George and Joel Embiid ruling out this game, the 6ers are the major underdogs coming into this matchup. The Grizzlies have been playing some solid basketball, scoring in bunches. They found their stride early with JJJ back, who missed a few games at the start of the year. They have been dominant at full force; they may be a top team in the West again.

Philadelphia is just trying to get by. With Tyrese Maxey trying to will this team to victory, they have struggled early. Starting 1-3 coming into this matchup, this will be a challenging game for them to steal. Memphis's size will suffocate for a team relying heavily on guard to put points on the board. Even though they do have Andre Drummond at the center position, the size of Zach Edey and JJJ will most likely overwhelm the 6er's interior defense. This game will still be fun, but we doubt it will be competitive.

Prediction: Memphis Grizzlies Win

Golden State Warriors at Houston Rockets: Nov. 2nd, 5:00 PM PT

This could be the best game of the weekend. Houston has been coming together nicely, as they picked up a big win in Dallas. Taking down Luka and Kyrie dominating through the paint. They outscored Dallas 58 to 44 points in the paint. That should be a worrying number for Golden State, which is traveling to Houston today. They’re already undersized in the paint, and with how long this Houston team is, it could be a huge issue. Even Houston’s guards have been attacking the paint exceptionally effectively. Jalen Green has been revolutionary this season, taking a leap from promising prospect to All-NBA. This offense has changed the game for Houston. We expect Green and Sengun to have massive games against the Warriors tonight

The Warriors won’t be a pushover; even with Curry missing games, Buddy Hield has stepped up big time. Hield and Moody have been electric in their last few games, scoring the rock from deep at high efficiency. Even though this Warriors team lacks size, they don’t lack scoring, and they turn each game into a foot race. We expect their hot start to end today, though, as Houston has the talent to beat them.

Prediction: Houston Rockets Win

Portland Trail Blazers at Pheonix Suns: Nov 2nd, 7:00 PM PT

This will be the second game of a road back-to-back for Portland. Playing OKC on Friday, Phoenix will have the rest and home-court advantage in this game. We’d also say they have the talent advantage with two blue-chip All-Stars, Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. This game should be an easy one for the Suns to come ahead in. Portland has struggled to score this year, as they’ve been inefficient from the 3-point line. They are, however, a scrappy team full of youth. These games can often become trap teams for teams if they don’t take them seriously. Portland even managed to take down the Clippers in a narrow victory on Wednesday. Even though they lack true star talent, Portland shouldn’t be slept on.

Phoenix, on the other hand, has been cooking early. They have started their season off 4-1, betting some high-level Western opponents. This team seems to be stronger than last year. Ryan Dunn has been an early spark for this team, as his defense has been invaluable for a roster constructed mainly around scoring. Providing high-level defense, he’s been contributing much more than expected on offense. Dunn might have been the steal of the draft and perhaps even a dark horse rookie of the year candidate. Beyond Dunn's score, Kevin Durant has been spectacular in most of these games. Even though he is in his mid-30s, the man can still hoop at the highest level. We think the Suns will take this game and cover the spread, but there is a chance Portland will give them a scare!

Prediction: Phoenix Suns Win
