James Harden is the big addition, but our top story on ActionNews is that it's Matisse Thybulle's birthday.

Indiana Pacers at Detroit Pistons, 7 pm Eastern

The Pick: Detroit +2.5 (-110), bet $16.50 to win $15

Although they are not a good team, Detroit does put up a fight at home. Their record is 9-21, but they’re 14-12 against the spread. The Pistons actually have a better record in their last ten games than the Pacers, 4-6 against 3-7. Indiana’s not to be trusted as a road favorite, as they’re 2-7 ATS this year. I think Detroit will put up a fight and I’m willing to take a home dog even if they may be coasting to the end of the season because Indiana is too.

Cleveland Cavaliers at Philadelphia 76ers, 7 pm Eastern

The Pick: Philadelphia -7 (-114), bet $17.10 to win $15

It’s a small sample size, to be sure, but Philadelphia is humming with new addition James Harden. On the other hand, Cleveland is in a bit of a tailspin, losing five of their last six games and failing to cover in all six of them. I think the 76ers are excited about their chances in the postseason now, and a Friday night game in front of their home fans, eagerly jumping on the James Harden bandwagon should be more than enough to pump up the whole team. It might be time to jump on that bandwagon as well.

Orlando Magic at Toronto Raptors, 7:30 pm Eastern

The Pick: Toronto -8 (-110), bet $19.23 to win $17.50

Toronto’s won 11 of 15 games and 13 of their last 18 games at home. They’ve beaten Orlando at home in seven straight games. They’re fighting for a playoff position. Orlando, er, is not. The Raptors are scrapping, currently the seven seed, and hoping to move up. The Magic have the third-worst scoring offense in the NBA, while the Raptors have a top-10 scoring defense. I like Toronto to continue their dominance over Orlando tonight.
