The Los Angeles Lakers play the Brooklyn Nets in the Barclays Center on Tuesday. At the beginning of the season, these two teams were viewed as an NBA Finals match up. They have not lived up to the hype that preceded the season. The Nets have not had their big three together in most of their games. Kyrie Irving just started playing due to his not being vaccinated. He only plays on the road and will not play in this game. Kevin Durant is also out because of a knee injury. For the Lakers, Anthony Davis has been out for the last 3-4 weeks with a knee injury. He is listed as probable for tonight’s game. Russell Westbrook has not played up to his All-Star level. LeBron James and James Harden are expected to play so the game still has marquee status.
Lakers are in the middle of a six-game road trip. They are1-1 on the trip so far. The Lakers have a record of 5-5 over their last ten games. The Nets also have a record of 5-5 of over their last ten. The Nets have a record of 12-11 at home.
The numbers are Lakers -3, and the total is 226.The money line is Lakers -145 and Nets +125.
Prop Bets: Patty Mills to score over 13.5. The price is -135. Mills goes over.
Selection: So far 66% of the action is on the Nets. The over is getting 60% of the action. If AD plays, I do not expect a great deal of production in his first night back. I do expect a high scoring game so I would lean over 226. If you find a prop close to game time of LeBron going over 26.5 points, I would grab it.
I will live tweet during the second quarter of the game tonight, Expect photos on Twitter and Instagram. Look for my selections for the NFL Conference Championship Games this Friday on Bettors Insider.
