Washington Wizards at Toronto Raptors, 6 pm Eastern
The Pick: Washington +1.5 (-110), bet $11 to win $10
Washington travels to Toronto to face a Raptors team that, while a little more stable than at the season’s beginning, still hasn’t established a definite identity. Toronto forward Pascal Siakam is not the player he’s been in the past couple of seasons, and their offense is struggling right now - 22nd in the NBA in scoring per game at 104.9. Washington, on the other hand, is 7-4 this year as an underdog, and still holding as the fourth-ranked team in the NBA’s Eastern Conference. More importantly, they play (and win) close games: 5-0 this year in contests decided by fewer than four points. I think today is close, and so I like taking the points.
Player Prop: Pascal Siakam under 21.5 points -120, bet $4 to win $3.33
Siakam is averaging 18.1 points per game, so I’m paying slightly more than the vig to set the number at more than three points over his usual game.
