Boston Celtics at Cleveland Cavaliers, 8 pm Eastern
The Pick: Cleveland +3 -110, bet $7.70 to win $7
Both of these teams played at home last night. Both teams won. Only one team had to go to overtime, however; that was Boston. Only one team gets to play at home tonight; that’s Cleveland. The Cavaliers continue to impress: 8-5 overall, 10-3 against the spread, 4-1 against the spread at home. Boston’s overtime win over the Milwaukee Bucks was big; it’s natural there will be a bit of a letdown tonight. Cleveland’s win last night was over Detroit, a team that we’re learning the Cavaliers should beat with ease. I think Cleveland’s more amped tonight, and Boston is still without Jaylen Brown (nursing a hamstring). I’m uncertain why the Cavaliers are even getting points at home here, but I won’t complain.
Moneyline Parlay: Utah Jazz (-295) w/Los Angeles Clippers (-275), true price -121, bet $7 to win $5.85
Miami has lost three straight games on this four-game road trip and might be without Jimmy Butler, who’s day-to-day with a sprained ankle. Utah just lost their first game at home on Thursday against Indiana; I don’t see them eager to make that two in a row. In Los Angeles, the Clippers face the Timberwolves looking for their fifth straight home win. Minnesota has lost twice to Los Angeles already, and are on the second game of a road back-to-back. I’ll put the Jazz and Clippers together to make a cheap parlay.
Player Prop Parlay: Rudy Gobert 10+ rebounds w/Mike Conley 1+ made threes w/Mike Conley 4+ assists, true price -207, bet $4.13 to win $2
Since I like Utah so much tonight, I’ll put a small taste on Gobert and Conley having solid games. Gobert averages significantly more than ten boards per game. Conley averages 5.2 assists and 2.8 threes made per game. (shrug) Okay, then.
