Fats' picks yesterday were as bad as the Knicks' shooting. Instead of starting each game with the National Anthem, they should play "Brick House." If it rained for a month, the racetrack at Aqueduct wouldn't be this sloppy. But I need to do better. Or you need to bet against me.
Today, my book has such a poor selection of player props 3 hours before game time (actually none for most games), I've got to make my wagers from three games. $10 wagers.
3-pointer: Kevin Durant Over 34.5 (points, rebounds, assists) +100 (returns $20)
2-pointers: Nets -10.5 over Hornets -110 (returns $19.10)
Free throw: Bucks Over 117.5 points -114 (returns $18.80)
Steal: James Wiseman Over 20.5 (points, rebounds, assists) -118 (returns $18.50)
Winners: 0
Losers:
3-pointer: Ja Morant double-double +159 (returns $25.90). Morant came up 3 assists short, but with 4 assists at halftime I at least thought I was in it.
2-pointers: Sixers ML AND Over 215 parlay +138 (returns $23.80). The Sixers W was just a formality and with 115 points in the first half, I was feeling great about the Over. Then the Knicks scored 16 in the 3rd quarter and the game slowed to a crawl, Toast.
Free throw: Ben Simmons Over 30.5 (points, rebounds, assists) -110 (returns $19.10). For the second time Simmons has let me down, again coming up half a point short. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Steal: RJ Barrett Over 26.5 (points, rebounds, assists) -115 (returns $18.70). If Barrett shot the ball blindfolded he couldn't have done worse. 2-15 from the field, 0-6 from three. In his first game he was 9-9 for in the first half. Last night he was 0-9. I've heard of reverting to the mean, but that's ridiculous.
$40 wagered (0-4), $0 returned.
Day 3: -$40.00
Total: -$72.75 (7-13 off 20 $10 wagers)
