This NBA is going to start again on December 22, but we are excited to be talking about it now. The Sixers, Wizards, and Nets are all in the headlines. I anticipate each of these teams will battle for playoff positions with one of them winning their division.

76ERS

The Sixers are in the news because James Harden has indicated he would be interested in playing for Philly this season. While no substantial talks have been initiated (that we know of), there is expected to be dialogue between the Rockets and the Sixers. The Sixers have stated that they plan to keep the All-Star duo of Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid together.

WIZARDS

The Wizards have added perennial All-Star Russell Westbrook from the Rockets in a trade for John Wall. Westbrook is a walking triple double and an upgrade at the point guard position. He and Bradley Beal will average close to 50 points a game collectively. This trade reunites Westbrook with his former coach while he was with the OKC Thunder, Scotty Brooks. It was under Brooks leadership that Westbrook led the league in scoring.

NETS

The Nets are projected to be one of the top 3 teams in the NBA. They are rated 3rd behind the Lakers and the Bucks. They have Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving coming back from injuries and they have other good supporting players. Irving’s comment about finally “having someone to play with that is as clutch as himself to take big shots late in a game” did not set well with Lebron James. James indicated he was “hurt” by the remark. The two teams play each other on Feb 18, 2021.

I will expand this season into coverage of each of these teams. If you want more follow me on Twitter and on my Blog.
