0-1 Saturday, 75-77-1 overall.

Raptors (-3) @ Spurs (221.5)

Pick: Under 221.5

It’s a battle of Kawhi Leonard’s two former teams and we’re expecting plenty of defense in the Alamo City today. These two teams met in Toronto earlier in January and the Spurs won 105-104 in a game that landed comfortably under the total of 220. There hasn’t been an adjustment on the total in a matchup two weeks later so why would we adjust? Perhaps the explanation for this total not being lower is five overs in the Raptors last six games since that game against the Spurs. However, most of those games were against lottery teams and cellar dwellers where there’s less motivation for the Raptors to defend. Sure enough, the one under in that stretch was last Wednesday against Philadelphia when the Raptors locked down in the second half and pulled out a 107-95 victory. The Spurs should have the Raptors attention today having won that game earlier this month and Toronto is pretty good defensively when it is engaged. We like another really close game with a similar final score to the meeting on January 12.
