Suns (-3) @ Hawks (230.5)

Pick: Under 230.5

Unders in matchups with bad teams like this can sometimes be tricky because effort is often the biggest factor in playing good defense and is also often a question mark for teams well below .500. At the same time, since Christmas, the Suns haven’t exactly been an offensive juggernaut. In its last 10 games, Phoenix is averaging a tick over 108 points per game. That’s not horrible either, but it certainly makes us like the under tonight with a total of 230.5 as the Suns travel across the country to take on the Hawks. Atlanta’s better offensive outputs recently have been against contenders as the Hawks have been able to be competitive against Indiana, Denver and Houston recently playing a track meet. However, there have also been games against fellow bottom feeders where the Hawks have gone through the motions and not been as productive on the offensive end of the floor. That’s how we see this one playing out and wouldn’t expect the winner tonight to have over 110 points making under 230.5 look pretty appealing.
