NBA: Greg Frank sees a slam dunk in picking Nets vs Lakers

Published on

Nets (-2) @ Lakers (231)
Pick: Nets -2

A team needing to secure its playoff fate is playing the Lakers and I only have to lay a deuce here? Sign me up! The Lakers point spread nightmare continued on Tuesday when they couldn’t cover a double-digit line against the Bucks sans Giannis Antetokounmpo. The purple and gold are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 and 4-14 against the number in their last 18. Brooklyn has been one of the better road ATS teams in the NBA this season, sitting at 21-15 ATS away from the Barclays Center entering tonight. The Nets most recent game was a 123-121 victory in Sacramento against the Kings. Our guess is this one is a little more comfortable for D’Angelo Russell and company, but the spot is similar. Both the Kings and Lakers are teams that have seen their playoff hopes disappear in March and are not teams you want to buy this late in the year especially against a team like the Nets trying to lock up a berth. Give the two points and take the Nets.
