NBA Wednesday: Same Old Song & Dance

Sixers-Celtics . . . Ho hum . . .

CELTICS (+3) at SIXERS (224), 7 p.m.
Pick: Celtics (+3)

After surviving a close game Tuesday in Charlotte, the Sixers return to Wells Fargo Center for their final meeting of the regular season against Boston.

The Celtics (43-28) have been a thorn in the Sixers’ side for the last five seasons, and won all three previous meetings this year. With the Sixers wrapping up a back-to-back here, it’s difficult to feel good about them finally getting a win against their archrival. Blindly betting against the Sixers on the second leg of a back-to-back would have netted a nice profit for you so far this season as Philly is 3-8 ATS in that spot to date. We’ve also reached the point in this rivalry where until the Sixers (46-25) actually show they can beat the Celtics with regularity, it’s not worth trusting them with your money against Boston. Sorry for being boring, but we’re forecasting another disappointing night against the shamrock green for the Sixers.
