The Friday slate is loaded with soft spots for power and contact hitters, and three names stand out above the noise: Aaron Judge, Jordan Walker, and Jackson Merrill. Two are riding hot streaks against pitchers who have already been hit hard this month, and the third is baseball’s active home run leader getting a crack at a Mets pitching staff that has leaked homers all series.

These aren’t hunches. Each of these three props is backed by a specific matchup edge and a recent sample big enough to trust. Here’s the breakdown, prop by prop.

Aaron Judge to Go Deep Against the Mets (+255)

Judge has been on an absolute tear in September, and the Subway Series finale at Yankee Stadium sets up as another chance for him to add to the total. Through 61 games this season, Judge has already gone deep 17 times — a home run in 26.2% of his appearances — while slashing .249/.374/.525 with 38 RBI. That kind of raw power output means the market’s plus-money price on a homer tonight (+255, in line with the +260 to +300 range books are currently posting) is offering real value against a Mets pitching staff Judge and the Yankees lineup have already tagged once this series.

The matchup context matters here too. Judge draws a game total sitting near 8 runs with Yankee Stadium’s short porch in right-center still one of the most homer-friendly parks in the league for a right-handed pull hitter of his caliber. He’s shown he can still turn a mistake pitch into six rows deep on any given night, and with New York fighting for playoff positioning, expect Judge in the middle of the lineup seeing his usual volume of pitches to attack.

At nearly 1-in-4 odds of a homer on a given night this season, and a price that implies less than 30% probability, the math tilts in the bettor’s favor. This is the kind of prop where paying for the power is worth it — check your book for the live number before locking it in.

Jordan Walker Over 0.5 Hits vs. Anthony Kay (-251)

Walker has quietly turned into one of the more reliable everyday bats in the Cardinals lineup, and the numbers back it up: he’s covered the Over on this hits line in 74% of his last 15 games, with a current projection of 1.2 hits tonight. He’s collected 157 hits on the season while slugging .489, both team-highs for St. Louis, and he carries a .281 average that ranks inside the top 25 among qualified big-league hitters.

The matchup only sharpens the picture. White Sox left-hander Anthony Kay comes in at 9-8 with a 4.53 ERA, a mark that reflects a pitcher who’s given up plenty of hard contact all year. Walker has shown no platoon issues against left-handed pitching this season, and Chicago’s staff has struggled to keep the ball on the ground against contact-oriented bats in the middle of opposing lineups.

Getting to just one hit for a player averaging north of a hit per game, against a pitcher with an ERA over 4.50, is about as clean a floor play as this slate offers. The -251 price is steep, but a 74% recent hit rate more than justifies laying the number here.

Jackson Merrill Over 0.5 Hits vs. Anthony Molina (-240)

Merrill enters this one about as hot as any hitter in baseball. He just delivered a career night against Washington — two home runs, a triple, and six RBI, a double shy of the cycle — and he’s covered this same Over 0.5 hits line in 74% of his last 15 games with a 1.2-hit projection for tonight. That kind of form makes the -240 price easy to stomach.

Giants right-hander Anthony Molina has been excellent since arriving via trade-deadline deal, sitting at 3-0 with a 2.79 ERA and a 0.88 WHIP, but he’s also a 24-year-old with a limited big-league track record — just over 14 innings in San Francisco colors. Merrill has feasted on rookie and lesser-experienced arms all year, and he’s shown zero signs of slowing down after Wednesday’s outburst.

With San Diego needing wins down the stretch and Merrill entrenched at the top of a productive lineup, the volume and matchup both point toward another multi-at-bat night where reaching base once is the low bar it should be.

Today’s Edge

All three of these props lean on real, recent form against matchups that support the number. Bettors looking to build a same-game or cross-game combo tonight should start here — and for anyone still shopping lines, it’s worth running these through the Expected Value (EV) Calculator to confirm the price is worth the risk before placing a ticket.

  • Aaron Judge to hit a HOME RUN (+255)
  • Jordan Walker OVER 0.5 Hits (-251)
  • Jackson Merrill OVER 0.5 Hits (-240)

Judge provides the power swing, while Walker and Merrill offer the safer, high-floor contact plays to round out the card.
