College football season is finally here, but that doesn't mean you should stop betting on baseball. Our MLB betting guide will give you 2 best bets for Saturday, August 24. Good luck and enjoy the games, sports bettors!
Important: If you're new to playing MLB sides when they open, always choose Listed Pitchers in your sportsbook app. Pitchers are often scratched from their starts for a lot of weird reasons (injuries, sickness, demotions, etc). The last thing you want is to be on the wrong side of one of those moves.

AZ at BOS - 4:10 PM EDT
Why in Sam Hill are the books giving us even money on Arizona in this spot? As we often say down in Sweet Home Alabama, "It doesn't make a lick of sense". Just how hot are the D'Backs? They have the best record in baseball (31-13) since July 1st!
I have these starting pitchers as about even, but Kutter Crawford has really been struggling lately. The 28-year-old righty had a great start to 2024, but he's given up 13 earned runs over his last 3 starts. Crawford could be in for a rough outing against an Arizona lineup that's been crushing the ball.
The D'Backs have the highest WRC+ number in MLB over the last month. Joc Pederson and Corbin Carroll have been on fire lately and they should have no problem staying hot in the hitter-friendly confines of Fenway Park. The wrong team is favored in this spot! Give me the D'Backs!
STL at MIN - 7:10 PM EDT
I'm surprised I haven't gotten any hate messages from St. Louis fans on X as many times as I've faded the Cardinals in the last month. Even though that approach burned me a couple of times this week, I'm still not jumping off the Fade St. Luay train.
My numbers actually prefer Sonny Gray over Pablo Lopez, but not by much. Lopez has been in great form lately, as he's 3-1 with a 2.68 ERA since the All-Star Break. Gray is just 2-2 with a 5.50 ERA over that same span, and he's really struggled at times on the highway this season.
The Twins have the superior offense and the much better bullpen in this contest, which is why I don't mind laying this moderate amount of juice. Minny ranks 4th in K minus BB rate since July 24th. St. Louis ranks just 25th over that same period. The Twinkies have the 6th best lineup in baseball against righties! Go Twins Go!
